The discovery of the 7th ICS-targeting malware, PIPEDREAM, represented a major escalation in the capabilities of adversaries as the first scalable, cross-industry attack framework. Ransomware attacks continued to increase, with more groups getting involved through Ransomware as a Service (RaaS) providers.

Bio:Casey Brooks is a principal adversary hunter at Dragos, Inc. Casey is an experienced cybersecurity professional with a background in training supporting enterprise-scale cybersecurity operations utilizing cyber threat intelligence and technical operations.

Prior to joining Dragos in May 2019, Casey was a senior cyber threat intelligence analyst at Capgemini. Casey also previously held a position as a cryptologic network warfare specialist and cyber operations specialist at the U.S. Army’s Cyber Command division.
