ONG-ISAC Biweekly Analyst Threat Call (Members Only) Industrial Exploitation through Midpoint and Network Weaknesses
Title: Industrial Exploitation through Midpoint and Network Weaknesses
Description: Many industrial-targeting organizations, from ransomware gangs to state-directed intruders, have leveraged a series of critical vulnerabilities in network devices and related services for initial access and follow-on intrusions. These vulnerabilities are often difficult to address as they impact high-availability services where a patching cycle can produce inadvertent downtime, yet the speed at which these are weaponized mean they must be addressed. This presentation will cover recently observed items, how they relate to the current threat landscape, and what network defenders might anticipate as on-going work-from-home and similar measures make for an increasingly distributed and remote workforce.
